&lt;div&gt;As a clean, efficient, and sustainable energy source, hydrogen can be produced by electrochemical method such as hydrogen electrolysis cell and stored for further use. Hydrogen electrolysis cell possess the advantages of high starting rate and high producing rate, which fulfills the request of solving the volatility of renewable energy. The produced hydrogen can be used either as a energy carrier or as raw material. For instance, it can be added to the hydrogen refueling station and provide energy directly to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCV) or converted into electricity by hydrogen fuel cells. The excess hydrgoen can be stored using liquid organic hydride (or liquid organic hydrogen carrier, LOHC for short) as storage medium.&lt;br /&gt;

Furthremore, the application scenarios of renewable energy power generation and heating and hydrogen production in buildings are studied in order to design and optimize the regional interconnection integrated energy supply system. Innovation institute for Sustainable Maritime Architecture Research and Technology of Qingdao Technological University was established in September 2018. Professor Weijun Gao, the first foreign academician of the Japanese Academy of Engineering, served as the chief scientist of the center, Vice President Dehu Yu of Qingdao Technological University served as the director of the center, and Congbao Xu, dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, served as the deputy director of the center. Professor Xingtian Wang, one of the 100 Chinese architectural design masters, joined the center in 2019 to establish a creative Qingdao Architectural Design Center. The center effectively integrates the traditional superior disciplines of Qingdao Technological University such as architectural planning, civil engineering, environment, and machanical.
